ALL ARE WELCOME

St. Mark's is a faith community centered in worship, hospitable to all, active in loving service and generous with the gifts that God has given us. Together we are blessed to be building something beautiful for God in our neighborhood.

RENOVATIONS BEGINS MAY 4
St. Mark's raised $3.7 million in pledges and gifts in our 2025 "Rejoice and Blossom" Capital Campaign and renovation to the Nave and adjoining spaces begins on May 4! We are currently in the beginning stages of packing the library, sacristy, chapel and nave, and creating alternate meetings spaces for our groups and classes. For more information on the project, please visit the Building Renewal Page or review our case statement for a look at the early designs. Coming soon, we'll start posting pictures of the construction process.
WORSHIP & CLASSES DURING THE RENOVATION

St. Mark's has accepted a gracious invitation from First Church of Christ, Science, to share their worship spaceduring the renovation of our sanctuary. First Church is located across the street from St. Mark's at 500 Richmond Pl. NE. The project is expected to last approximately six months.

The first Sunday we will worship at First Church is May 3. We will continue to use our own parking lots, Parish Hall, and Sunday School spaces so members and visitors will need to walk over to First Church, and then return to our campus for Coffee Hour and classes. We will have Sunday nursery and Children's Church at First Church on Sunday mornings. We will also use the First Church main classroom for our weekly Thursday Service and Bible Study.

One concession made by both St. Mark's and First Church is to slightly adjust our Sunday worship times: St. Mark's will move worship earlier by a half hour to 9:00 a.m. and First Church will move their service a half hour later to 11:00 a.m. We know this will be difficult for some, but the benefits far outweigh this small inconvenience. If you think 9:00 a.m. will not work for you, please consider attending the Thursday service at 11 a.m. during construction.

New Here?

If you are a newcomer to our church, on any given Sunday morning, the first person to offer a welcome may be an usher, but don’t be surprised if during and after the service, other parishioners approach you to wish you peace and welcome. Fill out a newcomers’ card, get on our e-mail list to receive our newsletter, The Messenger, and join us for coffee and refreshments in our Parish Hall following the service. Scripture encourages us to recognize God in every person, and everyone who enters our door is welcome and important.
